Restoring Confidence and Self Esteem
Our Mission
In Kenya, access to education is a fundamental right, but many children face barriers, such as poverty, that hinder their ability to attend school regularly. One significant challenge is the lack of proper school uniforms, which often leads to stigmatization and discourages children from attending classes. Our ‘School Uniform Support Program’ aims to address this issue by providing uniforms to economically disadvantaged students, promoting inclusivity, and ensuring that all children have an equal opportunity to access education. Ficha Uchi has been able to distribute 6,300 uniforms to 58 schools across the country, with counties including Nairobi, Kakamega, Kitui, Kajiado, Machakos, and Kiambu, since 2016.
